Lake Nacimiento

I had the opportunity to visit Lake Nacimiento this past weekend. It is an 18-mile long lake near Paso Robles that is large enough for waterskiing, wakeboarding, jetskiing, and other water activities. I’ve heard it called “Dragon Lake” before because from an aerial view it looks similar to a dragon.

This year we didn’t get much rain so the water level is very low. You can see that in the pictures. Rather than waiting for the summer (and the crowds) and hoping that there will still be water, we had the chance to go this weekend. It was a gorgeous day of wakeboarding, relaxing, and fishing. Only one fish was caught and an eagle was sighted. I’ve never been out on a boat in a lake before so it was a new experience. I got a few good pictures from the trip too.
